Here's a great clean snack salad I found trying to use up what was left in my fridge. I just googled carrots and avocado. The website is called Chocolate and Zucchini. It has tons of great clean recipes to try.
Check it out:

I used edamame instead of tofu or chicken because honestly that is all I had on hand. Enjoy!

Oatmeal Goodness
I LOVE oatmeal. It all started with my granny's porridge growing up(milk, Lots of sugar and oats). I make my own clean porridge every AM and have it with 4 egg whites, 1 yolk and my coffee.
Here's my recipe:
1/2 cup dry oats
1 cup of water
Cook for however long.
(Here's where the goodness happens!)
Add a few dashes each of cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg
1 tblsp of maple syrup
1 tblsp of raisins
1/4 cup of milk ( I use 1%)
Mix together and get ready to fall in love!

My first post
I'm so excited it's my first blog post! I just thought I would start this blog because I know there has got to be other new moms out there trying to get that post baby weight off and maybe we can inspire each other.
It's frustrating. We have so much going on that what to eat is the last thing we want to worry about. Enter clean eating! I love it. I have energy and I'm never hungry. I am nursing my lil one still, so I just eat every two hours (about seven mini meals a day). The first "diet" I tried was weight watchers (this is a very familiar pattern for myself). I tried it because they cater to nursing moms. But, I plateaued for about a month and a half. I was eating with in my points, but indulging in lots of sugar and white carbs. So I decided to go back to my old tried and true way of eating clean. Maybe this would bust me out of my rut. I always struggle with the concept of clean eating, but once I hop on the band wagon I want to kick myself for forgetting how eating fresh, clean food in smaller portions makes me feel. And here we are today. After a week of eating cleaner I started this blog to post my progress and keep myself accountable!
So this time I'm committed to a life change. No junk (ie, Starbucks mocha coconut frappuccino), smaller meals and a better me! My goal is to get there by Feb 16th which is my 30th birthday. Come on hot mommas...we can do this!
